Paul and Gary O’Donovan touched down in Cork Airport last night and were met with one heck of a welcoming squad.
Throngs of people gathered in the airport to give the lads a true heroes’ reception.
They deserved nothing less and, man, did they look absolutely delighted.
After winning the first medal of the 2016 Olympic Games for Ireland, and the first ever for Ireland for rowing, we were beyond proud and delighted for them.
And then Paul went on to win the men’s lightweight sculls final on Saturday in Rotterdam at the World Rowing Championships. What a month.

Go on, the lads
We couldn’t be prouder, and we’re sure they couldn’t be happier to be back on Irish soil.
