If you’re Galway based and partial to anything that comes in a flatbread drizzled with aioli, we’ve found just the place.

Meet Ember Firehouse, the newest addition to the Galway foodie scene serving up a storm with grilled meats, charred greens and the glue that holds us all together – Their own house Piri Piri.

Located on Quay Street in Galway City centre, Ember Firehouse is open for biz and it seems as if so far, their charred cabbage is stealing the show along with its good pal grilled aubergine. Thankfully, not just like grandma used to make. Have a peek at her here, pride of place in one of Ember’s Infamous Cabbage Bowls.

Everything at the Quay Street spot is prepared “using the ancient method of fire” and made complete with the house Piri Piri, roast garlic aioli, lemon and chilli stinger and the signature chimichurri either in a freshly made flatbread or in an Ember bowl. The sides won’t disappoint either, with their home cut fries, roast spuds, braised lentils and charged greens all packing a serious punch.
