Whether you’re planning your trip for the height of summer or the depths of winter, there’s something for everyone here.

Start ticking them off!

1. Start the day with a Full Irish in The Cellar

Centrally located on Eglington street, The Cellar should be your first port of call ahead of your big day out in Galway.

2. Head for a walk in Barna Woods

Just a short drive from the city lie some of the most scenic walking trails in the county.

3. Dive off Blackrock Diving Tower

A definite must-do on the list of Galway activities. Whether you want to cool down at the height of summer or feel the icy chill over the winter months, diving off Blackrock Tower will refresh your senses for sure.

4. Have a seaweed bath at the Leenane Hotel

Keeping with the aquatic theme, this Connemara hotel ticks all your relaxation needs. Ideal for a couples or family getaway.

5. Go for dinner At Ard Bia

Look out over the Spanish Arch and enjoy some delicious food at this landmark location.

6. Take a dip in the Coral Strand

Some of the clearest blue waters in Ireland can be found here. A great spot to clear the head.

7. Take the Corrib Princess Cruise

Sit back and relax on this luxurious boat as you’re taken out from the city to Lough Corrib and back again.

8. Visit the Ailwee Caves and Birds Of Prey Centre

Technically just over the border in Co. Clare but a must-visit if your in this part of Ireland. Check out the caves before catching the majestic birds of prey in a live flying display.

9. Take in a gig at the Big Top during the Arts Festival

The city centre location is one of the main landmarks of the festival which takes place every July.

With great music and plenty of room to dance, you’ll want to come back every year.

10. Get a pint of Guinness in Freeneys

Some of the best pints of the black stuff in the country can be found here.

11. Enjoy some trad music in EJ Kings, Clifden

A must-visit if you wind up in Clifden. The best craic you’ll have in a pub all year. Dancing is actively encouraged, as depicted in the below video.

12. Get stuck into an amazing steak in O’Gradys

Back to Barna where you can enjoy a steak with some stunning sea views.

13. Get on the gin in Tigh Nora
