Have you checked out your local award-winner yet?
Everyone thinks their local restaurant or bakery or particular item of food is the best in their town/county/entire country, but there is very little way to actually prove which is the best, unless you take it upon yourself to travel to every town/country/entire country to check them all out.
Thankfully, the folks at Blas na hÉireann do exactly that, with the end result being the Irish Food Awards for 2020.
The goal of the awards is to celebrate and reward the very best tasting Irish food and drink products, and the passionate, driven producers who make them.
