Avoca Moll’s Gap reopens today and the drive there is STUNNING

Avoca Moll's Gap reopens today

Avoca Moll’s Gap will be re-opening for the season today.

Life may seem a little overcast at the moment, but every now and then the sun shines through – metaphorically speaking, of course. Irish weather rarely cooperates so actual sunshine is rare, unfortunately.

Here to provide the metaphorical sunshine this Friday the 13th? Avoca, who has announced that Avoca Moll’s Gap will be re-opening for the season today.

Located along the Ring of Kerry, some might say Avoca Moll’s Gap is the most scenic of all Avoca stores. Set just off the main road, high on a rocky ridge, it overlooks mountains, rivers and gorgeous green countryside – the likes of which always leave a lasting impression on customers.

Not to mention the famous Lakes of Killarney which you’ll spot nearby. Look one way and you’ll find Carrauntoohil, Ireland’s highest mountain, look the other and you’ll see the Gap of Dunloe.

Though quite small, the shop stocks all the usuals you’d expect to find at any other Avoca – including homewares, ceramics, glass, knits and jewellery. And it’s hard to argue with the cafe’s lunch offerings so don’t even try.

Open seven days a week, the café closes at 5pm daily.
