The Kingdom has been experiencing some wet weather and flash flooding as of late, with parts of Kenmare being pictured submerged under pools of water due to heavy overnight rainfall.
Met Éireann issued a weather warning for Co. Kerry earlier this week, predicting that heavy rainfall, flash flooding and hazardous driving conditions were on the way. In place from 7am on Wednesday morning, the warning was in place until early today.
Several areas across the county have experienced spot flooding as a result of heavy downpours with Kerry County Council tweeting to alert the public that there will be a delay in opening the Civic Amenity Site as a result.
The Square in Kenmare has also suffered badly from the rainfall with locals being advised that the N70 between Sneem and Chaerdaniel is impassable and should be avoided.

According to reports, there is surface water and ponding on several key routes in south Kerry and motorists are being asked to exercise extreme caution.
