You Can Spend A Night In This Dog-Friendly Castle In Kildare With A Woodburning Stove

Sarah

Snuggled up in an old lodge on the outskirts of a fancy estate with the fire burning… Sounds ideal, doesn’t it?

Well, thanks to the Irish Landmark Trust you can book such a property and experience a piece of Irish history on your holiday.

Each of their thirty properties has its own unique story to tell, be it a Lighthouse, Country House, Gatelodge or City Mews; giving a unique experience.

We fell instantly in love with Batty Langley Lodge in Leixlip, Kildare, which surrounds the world famous Palladian Castletown House.

The lodge (which is dog friendly!) sleeps two people and is available to rent from €328 for two nights… What a cool romantic weekend break, eh?

The lodge itself is an 18th century Gothic design nestled in the woods

We NEED to stay here. Few games of Scrabble and a bottle of vino and you’ll be laughin’.
