QUIZ: We Give You The Mayo Pub And You Tell Us Where It’s Situated

Christmas just gone, I remember standing at a bar in some pub in Castlebar with one of my good friends who was telling me he was going doing the ’12 parishes’ (a longer version of the 12 pubs wish brings you all around the green and red county) the next day and that this night out was just a “warm-up”.

If there’s one thing that Mayo does well it’s its pubs and whether you’re trapped in Kilmaine for the night or you’re kicking it heavy in Castlebar, there’s normally more pubs in any given Mayo town than anything else so you have plenty to choose from no matter where you go. 

But, Mayo is a big county and someone who has ventured into every pub in Westport may never have stepped foot in Foxford.

So, we thought we’d test all the men and mná of Mayo to see if they know their Matt Molloy’s from their Johnny McHale’s and before you ask, neither of them are on the list.
