The Irish Hotel Of The Year Has Been Named And It Looks Spectacular

The Irish Hotel of the Year 2017 has been revealed at the AA Hospitality Awards.

The winner was the spectacular Ashford Castle in Castletown, Co. Mayo and judging by these snaps it’s easy to see why.

The award was presented at a ceremony on Thursday night after the hotel received an anonymous visit from inspectors who assessed hospitality, service, cuisine, facilities and staff.

With a wide range of dining rooms as well as a billiards room and a rooftop ‘cigar terrace’ overlooking the River Cong there appears to be plenty of spaces to hide away and leave the stresses of everyday life behind you for a while.

Of course, any hotel of the year has to include a spa, sauna and relaxation pool among loads of other amenities and Ashford Castle boasts the lot.

Has anyone ever been lucky enough to stay here? Let us know in the comments. We’re not jealous at all.
