A search is underway in West Kerry for a missing hillwalker who failed to return to his car yesterday evening.
The man is believed to be from the UK and in his early 60s. He had been climbing on Mount Brandon on the Dingle Peninsula after leaving his car at Mullenaglemig at around 11am.
He is believed to have been walking alone and had been in contact with his wife throughout the day. The last contact he made was at 3pm.
A search got underway yesterday evening but finsihed for the night due to heavy fog. The R115 helicopter and Kerry Mountain Rescue are searching for the man.
