A new plant-based diner has recently opened in Sligo town – say hello to Sweet As…!
Led by Carolanne Rushe, co-owner of Sweet Beat Café, this deli/diner is one you need to check out.
Sligo was seriously lacking in veggie and vegan options before these cafés opened, so it brings something new and exciting to the northwest.

Sweet As… much like Sweet Beat, is all about the food and the flavour. They put so much time and effort into perfecting textures and combinations. The menu is organic, seasonal and locally sourced, with dishes such as hotpots, miso turmeric noodle bowls, pastries and tarts.

The café also has a huge emphasis on sustainability.
It’s a zero-waste policy at Sweet As…, they ferment veg and are plastic-free so you can feel like you’re doing your part for the environment while you eat there.
Sweet As… is open as a diner from Tuesday to Saturday 8am to 5pm and operates as a deli from Monday to Friday 8am to 3pm.
Can’t wait to check it out!
