Relax, unwind, plunge, repeat.

With so many untapped beauty spots across the country, it’s a joy to see them being made the most of in such an innovative way.

Last year, The Hot Box Sauna was launched in county Meath, overlooking the River Boyne and providing a unique way for visitors to soak up all the beauty the area has to offer.

The idea is a quick plunge in the fresh, icy waters of the Boyne (with a beautiful walkway and pontoon to jump off), followed by a stint in the hand crafted wood fired sauna to warm up. There’s also a hot tub onsite to sit back and soak up the views of the Meath countryside from.

Now, Hot Box are taking the experience west to Strandhill, Sligo, so a new community can be introduced to the “power of sauna”.

In an Instagram post announcing the news, the Hot Box team wrote:

We are finally delighted to announce that the new location for our newly built Sauna is Strandhill, Co. Sligo!

We are super excited to bring our sauna to sligo and introduce the power of sauna use to yet another community in this beautiful country of ours.

They added that to celebrate the new opening they’ll be offering free slots this weekend (29th-1st) so if you’d like to get in and use the sauna, now’s your chance.
