There’s a new seaside cafe in Oranmore for all your post-swim needs

Music to our ears as the heatwave prevails.

If you’re looking for a new place to treat yourself to that all-important swim and coffee combo this weekend, you’re in luck.

If you happen to find yourself in the coastal town of Oranmore, Galway this weekend, make it a priority to pay a visit to Seahorse, a bubblegum pink horse box cafe recently opened on the pier.

Oranmore locals have been enjoying Seahorse’s coffee, toasties and treats since the June bank holiday – the furry ones in particular.

Once a new business nails their puppacino recipe it’s all plain sailing from there, in my humble opinion.

Seahorse also have human customers well catered for with speciality coffee from local roasters Geometry – a Galway based company who set up shop in the midst of the pandemic, refreshing cold drinks from Irish Drink Award winners All About Kombucha and toasties oozing with delicious melty cheese, the kind we all crave after a dip in the sea.

Parked up on Renville Harbour, Seahorse is the perfect place to hit up after a swim or stroll, or just to treat yourself in general. You deserve it.

Seahorse are open 8am -8pm, seven days a week.
