Two golfers had to be rescued by the Coast Guard on Monday evening after they drove their golf buggy off a cliff.

According to the Irish Independent, the pair were in Gold Coast Golf Resort in Dungaran, Waterford when the incident took place.

Rescue Crew 117 were called to the scene, where some of the crew members arrived in a helicopter to rescue the men.

It's understood that the Waterford Fire Brigade also came to the scene.

Both men only suffered minor injuries from the accident.
