The Most Irish World Record Attempt Ever Is Taking Place Today

James Fenton

We love a bit of silage here in Ireland and that goes for both the lads and the ladies.

But it’s the ladies who are at the forefront of this brilliant world record attempt which is taking place in Waterford today. The Mount Melleray Community Silage Weekend will feature a Guinness World Record attempt at having an all female silage crew known as Grassgals.

All proceeds from the day will go to the local Alzheimer’s Society and the whole thing looks like great craic if you’re around this part of the country today. There will also be a barn dance in the courtyard of Mount Mellaray monastery so be sure to bring your dancing shoes.
