7 Tools That Will Supercharge Your Productivity In Work This Week

niallharbison

The vast majority of us work on computers everyday and while that offers us huge scope for the types of work we can do it also means that we are open to all sorts of distraction on a daily basis. With social networks, blogs, media sites and endless videos to watch we can get distracted and become less productive with a simple click of a button. Ironically it is technology that can save us from technology itself. These 7 tools will save you a tonne of time and help you get more stuff done this week…

1. Wunderlist

There are literally hundreds of “to do” lists out there but I use this one because it syncs beautifully across devices and you can break your tasks down into sub lists. The big added bonus is that you can bookmark content easily via a Chrome plugin to read stuff later in the day.

2. Buffer

If you are using social media for either business or personal use this is an invaluable tool. Rather than having to post updates in real time schedule them at the start of the day or even the week. Added bonus is that they suggest popular content for you to share and provide stats on the content you share and how it is performing.

3. Humin

Super little app that tells you about the people you are about to meet without you having to research them. It also lets you know which of your friends are close to you when you travel and acts pretty much like a personal assistant.

4. Pocket

One of the biggest distractions online is reading content- but Pocket has the perfect solution by letting you “pocket” stuff to read later on any device. Simplicity of use and gorgeous design make it super easy to use on desktop and mobile.

5. Timeful

This is a mix of a “to do” list and a Calendar but it is the smart algorithm that helps you manage your time and makes suggestions where this app really sings. Feels like your own personal assistant urging you to use your time better.

6. Self Control

Even though you might have the best intentions you can still end up clicking in and out of social media but not if you download Self Control. You can set periods of time to be offline and even blacklist certain sites and services to be blocked.

7. Sunrise App

Easily the best calendar app that links in with gmail and Facebook to help manage your life. The beautiful design and simple navigation make this an absolute must for business people or those with busy schedules.
