We cannot wait to hear more about Violet Crawley's scandalous past!
You don't have too long to wait for the second Downton Abbey movie. Titled
Downton Abbey: A New Era, the film delves into the Duchess of Grantham's past, more specifically her past with a certain gentleman. It appears she's been left a villa in the South of France by a possible former flame - how very scandalous indeed.

It seems you can take the people out of Downton Abbey, but not Downton Abbey out of the people. All the original cast are returning for this film, including Maggie Smith (
Harry Potter series), Hugh Bonneville (
Paddington), Michelle Dockery (
Defending Jacob), and Jim Carter (
The Little Vampire). New faces include Dominic West (
The Affair), Hugh Dancy (
Hannibal), and Laura Haddock (
White Lines).
The film hits cinemas on the 18th March 2022. So not too long before we know what Violet Crawley got up to in her youth. We're also very excited to see the family visit another place.
