Ben Foden has spoken about his controversial split from Una Healy in a new interview.
The rugby player had signed a contract with Rugby United New York last summer and they were all set to move to the US when the couple separated amid claims he had cheated.
The couple have two children together; Aoife, aged six, and Tadhg, who’s three.
Speaking on Channel 4’s Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins this week, Ben said, “My life’s a bit of a mess. I’ll always love Una.
“She’s my first love and the mother of my kids. I never meant to hurt her in the way I did.
“I think it’s quite appropriate to do a course like this to put some perspective on everything.”
Una has said she hopes they can remain friends for the sake of their children.
Foden also recently admitted, “At the moment anything that’s published about me is never very good and pretty rightly so, because I was the one who committed adultery.”
