Both Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins have now posted cryptic messages about their their break-up.
Maura confirmed that she had split up with her Love Island partner earlier this week, revealing that the pair had “tried to make it work but it wasn’t to be and I wish Curtis nothing but the best for the future.”
Speculation had been rife in recent months that the couple’s relationship was not as steady as it seemed on the surface before the break-up.
Maura was the first to post to social media following the split, captioning an Instagram photo with: “A strong woman never gives up on herself, but she may give up on you.”

Until Thursday afternoon, however, there was radio silence from Curtis’ side.
The professional dancer broke that silence with a post of his own, stating that his family are the ones he can rely on for support no matter what.

Alongside an image of him embracing his parents and brother, he wrote: “#Family. The people that always support me …..”
Maura and Curtis came in fourth place of last summer’s edition of Love Island after making it to the final that was ultimately won by Greg O’Shea and Amber Gill.
Tommy Fury and Molly-May Hague are now the only couple from the 2019 series who are still together.
