Ah the noughties, coming home from school and turning on that tiny television you had to watch some quality programmes. You were always up to date with them too because god forbid you wouldn’t be able to share your opinion over lunch with your mates the next afternoon.
If this sounds familiar, there is no way that you missed out on an episode of Shipwrecked.
Let us refresh your memory – A group of young adults were left stranded on an island for 68 days. They had to learn to survive and had to face a series of challenges to win a whopper cash prize. There was always juicy goss and fights going on – it was just great TV tbh and one of the first reality shows I can remember watching.
The show hasn’t appeared on screens for seven years and is set to return next year.
A TV Insider explained to The Sun that “Channel 4 have decided to give millennials the same experience, after Love Island proved sun-kissed hunks and beauties frolicking in a tropical setting can result in huge ratings.” We also seem to just love watching the juicy fights and breakdowns too.
After the news was announced, Twitter lost it:
