Friends reunion

They don’t know that we know they know we know… or do they?

Whispers of a Friends reunion have been trickling down through the grapevine for several months now with the cast first confirming it would go ahead back in February of last year.

Initially planned for release in May 2020, public health restrictions meant that filming had to be delayed for much longer than anyone would have liked, but the good news is that things are finally getting back on track.

Confirming that it’s all systems go for the reunion ep, David Schwimmer – best known for playing Ross Gellar (aka Red Ross) on the show – revealed that production is due to begin in LA “in a little over a month”.

Speaking on SiriusXM Radio, Schwimmer later added:

“So, finally, I mean, we figured out a way to film it safely and there’s going to be a portion of it that we filmed outside because of, you know, for safety protocols.”

Are you excited? Because I’m excited.

Also addressing rumours over who will be hosting the reunion special, the actor didn’t give much away saying:

“I can tell you it’s not Ellen (DeGeneres) and it’s not Billy Crystal. I can tell you who it’s not, but that’ll take a while, probably.”

All six core stars of the original cast of the show have signed on for the reunion which will come in the form of a one-off untitled, unscripted episode featuring cameos from the series’ creators David Crane and Martha Kauffman.
