Fronted by architect Dermot Bannon, the 13th series of Room to Improve won’t air until autumn of next year.
Bad news for Room to Improve fans as Dermot Bannon has said that the show won’t return until next year – that’s another mark against 2020 in our books… it seems that the ‘three strikes and you’re out’ rule doesn’t apply in this case.
Though filming is already underway on the new series of the popular home renovation show, it’s not due to hit Irish telly boxes until autumn 2021.
Speaking to Ray D’Arcy during the week, Bannon explained why viewers will have to wait so long for the next series.
‘We’re back filming, we’ve been back filming for a couple of months now and we’re looking for two small projects. We’re looking for non-planning projects.
‘Normally we have lots of people applying for Room To Improve, it’s a constant stream through the office but actually this year because of Covid and lockdown and all that people just assumed there’s nothing on TV.
‘We are only starting into it now and they will all take a year.’
Sigh. Guess we’ll have to rewatch Selling Sunsets to keep us going until then.
