“To be sure to be sure, an oul investigation is to be carried out.”
We’ve literally never seen anything like the reaction to Wild Mountain Thyme.
If you’ve no idea what we’re talking about, then seriously (1) Are you okay? Because you must’ve just woken up from a coma, and (2) Read this immediately.
But we weren’t the only ones to get wrapped up in the insanity, as some of the biggest establishments in Ireland all got involved:
There’s fashion police
Grammar police
We even have airport police
Is there such a thing as accent police?
If so, somebody better call ‘em.
On the upside, Ireland looks nice. pic.twitter.com/lHrR5cWlwq— Dublin Airport (@DublinAirport) November 10, 2020

To be fair, Irish accents are hard (we struggle with them at times). But otherwise #WildMountainThyme looks great. And, in Jamie Dornan & Emily Blunt, presents a remarkably realistic depiction, visually at least, of the average Irish man & woman. Truly, we are a beautiful people. https://t.co/B2HFOkAhJ0

And as if all of that wasn’t enough, even the Garda took to Twitter late on Wednesday night to make a somewhat official statement:
“Sure you cant be doin that lads! Gardaí don’t normally comment on material posted online but we are aware of a trailer involving multiple offensive accents from a Wild Mountain area of Mullingar. To be sure to be sure, an oul investigation is to be carried out.”
