First Dates returns to TV screens tonight so get excited

First Dates

First Dates returns to TV screens tonight for the first season of the new year.

Evenings consist of TV, TV and more TV these days so may as well lean into it. Already having worked our way through much of the online content out there, we’ve set our sights back on the telly box and First Dates is top of our watch list.

Headed up by Fred Sirieix – the series’ beloved Maître d’hôtel – the programme is back for its 16th season with the action moving to a new venue down in Manchester this time

Much like the Irish spin-off version of the show, each episode follows a new batch of singletons, all of whom have signed up to be paired off on a blind date. Naturally, no one can predict just how things will go and while there has been many a success story, there has also many been a failure too.

Clearly excited to get back down to it, Fred took to Twitter to remind fans – sharing a sneak peek of what’s to come and writing:

#firstdates is officially back! This time we have moved to #manchester From the 19th January at 10pm @Channel4 @FirstDates Enjoy x.”

Glad to see things haven’t changed too much and viewers can still expect all of the same banter from Fred and the gang.
