Kong: Skull Island – RTE Two – 9pm

After the Vietnam war, a team of scientists explores an uncharted island in the Pacific, venturing into the domain of the mighty Kong, and must fight to escape a primal Eden. Stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman and John C. Reilly.

Saving Private Ryan – Sky One – 9pm

Following the Normandy Landings, a group of U.S. soldiers (headed by Tom Hanks) go behind enemy lines to retrieve a paratrooper whose brothers have been killed in action.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug – FilmFour – 9pm

The dwarves, along with Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellan), continue their quest to reclaim Erebor, their homeland, from Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch).

Robocop 2 – ITV4 – 9pm

Cyborg law enforcer RoboCop (Peter Weller) returns to protect the citizens of old Detroit but faces a deadly challenge when a rogue OCP member secretly creates a new, evil RoboCop 2.

The Hurt Locker – TG4 – 9.30pm

During the Iraq War, a Sergeant (Jeremy Renner) recently assigned to an army bomb squad is put at odds with his squad mates due to his maverick way of handling his work.
