A local businessman himself, Sebb Taylor is a well-known part of the Galway food scene. The face behind the popular Temple Café in the heart of the city, he’s very familiar with the hard work and dedication that goes into getting a business up off the ground.

Sharing a photo from his recent visit to a pumpkin patch in Corrandulla with his Instagram followers, Sebb also recounted the lovely story of the young entrepreneur behind the idea.

“Today we had the pleasure of meeting Michael at his pumpkin patch.

“Michael is a 14-year-old entrepreneur who set up a pumpkin patch and Halloween theme park beside his parents’ convenience shop Dooley’s Shop in Corrandulla.

“It’s full of over 400 pumpkins which he’s grown from seed and is now selling, newly hatched ducks and chickens and obviously lots of spooky Halloween decorations.

“He has grown around 400 pumpkins from seedling and is giving tours and selling them. It is really great to see new entrepreneurs coming through and starting and executing their ideas and great to see good news stories at the moment.”

Congratulating Michael on a job well done, it seems that the young entrepreneur has already sold out of most of his tours so is definitely doing something right.
