Graham Norton has announced the virtual guests for this week’s edition of his chat show

Graham Norton is back this Friday night with a stellar line-up of guests taking their seats on his virtual sofa once again.

Last week, people didn’t know what to make of The Graham Norton Show’s new virtual set-up, with some viewers struggling to come to terms with the lack of a studio audience and some resultant awkward silences which would usually be filled by laughter and applause.

Nevertheless, Graham is ever the professional and he’ll back again this Friday when he’ll be joined on his virtual red sofa by a more than decent line-up of guests.

Ricky Gervais will logging on to discuss the upcoming second series of his Netflix hit After Life and he’ll be joined by one of his old Extras pals in the form of Sir Patrick Stewart. The pair have previously displayed great chemistry on a pre-Covid version of The Graham Norton Show and they’re bound to be just as giddy at the sight of each other over the video chat…

Ricky and Patrick will be joined by Line Of Duty star Thandie Newton while music will be provided by French singer/songwriter Christine And The Queens.

It may not be what we’re used to when it comes to watching The Graham Norton Show but the Corkman’s natural charm will certainly be enough to hold it all together over the coming weeks.

You can catch this week’s episode of The Graham Norton Show on Friday at 9pm on BBC 1.
