Hollywood actor Patrick Dempsey is encouraging people to wear masks, quoting his former Grey’s Anatomy character McDreamy and saying: “It’s a beautiful day to save lives.”
First premiering back in 2005, Grey’s Anatomy has come to be known, not only for its highly dramatic plotlines but for its characters – many of whom you’ve probably heard of whether you’ve ever seen the show or not. One such character being Dr Shepherd.
Played by Hollywood actor Patrick Dempsey, the character captured hearts around the world, earning him the loving nickname McDreamy while his lothario counterpart, Mark Sloan, was fondly referred to as McSteamy. Catchy, no?
Posting a selfie of himself to Instagram, the star has looked to his former character for inspiration, captioning a photo of himself wearing a mask with thanks to one of McDreamy’s most iconic catchphrases.
