Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway returns at 7pm on Saturday on Virgin Media One. Although the pandemic means that the show will look quite different from the normal chaos we’re used to, our two favourite Geordies still have loads of fun bits in store, some of which they’ve revealed.

Speaking about the show’s hotly-anticipated return, co-host Declan Donnelly said:

“We’ll have a virtual audience but it’ll be very different, but hopefully no less fun and entertaining.

“But we’ve got some of the old favourites returning. We kick off with an item you two know very well – I’m A Celebrity, Get Out Of My Ear! We’ve got Harry and Jamie Redknapp doing that.”

He said that the former footballers “giggle more than anyone who’s ever done this before. They were just in bits from the moment we started it.”

Meanwhile, McPartlin assured Saturday Night Takeaway audiences that the pair can “keep it fresh because you can just introduce new things every year”.

Dec also revealed that there will be a new ‘drama’ called ‘Double Trouble’ where each of the presenters has been cloned and the clones turn evil. The 17th series will also feature a new rainbow game and a virtual audience wall, which has 300 homes (over 1,000 audience members) shown on screen.

One thing is for sure: we’re pretty confident that this will be the usual laugh we expect from the lads on a Saturday night.
