Famed U.S. music producer Quincy Jones has claimed that ‘Ireland is so racist it’s frightening’ in a wide-ranging interview with GQ magazine.
The 84-year-old is known for producing countless high-profile albums, notably Michael Jackson’s Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad.
In an at times bizarre article published yesterday, Jones says that he has 22 girlfriends around the world and once complimented Pope John Paul on his ‘pimp shoes’.
He goes on to state that he stays in Bono’s ‘castle’ whenever he’s in Dublin ‘because Ireland and Scotland are so racist it’s frightening.’
Over a career spanning six decades, Jones has received a record 79 Grammy nominations and was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2013.
