Irish Embassy official shares shamrock-shaped run and it’s a great idea for Paddy’s Day

James Fenton

If you’re planning a Paddy’s Day run within your 5km, why not take a leaf out of Fergus Scott’s shamrock and make it Irish-themed.

The Shanghai Irish Embassy official took to the streets of the Chinese city for a run with a difference and it might provide you with some inspiration on how to spend this unusual Paddy’s Day.

With the Irish population still confined to within 5km of their homes, except for essential reasons, Mr. Scott’s shamrock-shaped run just might make those daily jogs a little more interesting. His efforts were shared by the Consulate General of Ireland in Shanghai, who wrote: ‘The Consulate’s Visa & Consular Officer Fergus Scott actually chose to kick the week off with a very special shamrock-shaped run around the streets of Shanghai!’

Look at it there in all its glory. So where will you be taking on the shamrock challenge on March 17? Let us know in the comments.
