Jedward have proposed that Love Island Ireland needs to happen. Sometimes the good ideas are right there in front of you, aren’t they?
2020 has been a year of Netflix binges, movie marathons and days spent moving between our beds and the couch. Having already made it through our watchlist (a feat we accomplished very early into lockdown 1.0), we’ve been rediscovering old favourites to keep us busy but if there’s one thing we’ve really missed it’s reality TV.
I’m A Celeb helped fill the void for a while, but nothing quite competes with Love Island and though we claim not to like it all that much, we lie… mindless viewing but we can’t resist. Keeping all our fingers and toes crossed that next year’s season will be able to go ahead as normal, Jedward are even hoping that an Irish version could be on the cards.
Missing the villa antics as much as the rest of us, the duo is gunning for Love Island Ireland – taking to Twitter to really sell the dream.
“Manifesting the Irish Love Island 2021 presented by Jedward on the Aran Islands! Feel the Wild Atlantic flutters!”
Fans of the original seem to like the idea with one Twitter user commenting: “This was something I had no idea I needed until this very moment”.
