The surprise Katie Taylor appearance on the Late Late Toy Show was the highlight in the minds of a lot of viewers.
Young boxing fan Ella had to fight back tears when her idol, Katie Taylor, arrived to give her a hug and offer some tips as she held pads.
The pair embraced in what was one of the loveliest moments of a heartwarming Toy Show from start to finish before Taylor gave her young fan an early Christmas present.
“I have a gift here for you as well,” Taylor said. “These are the boxing gloves that I wore in my last fight and I brought them here especially for you.
She added: “I’d also love to do a personal training session with you some day. That’d be amazing because you are the future. You are going to be an Olympic champion some day, I think.”

Olympic gold medallist, Taylor, has had an incredible 2019.
The Bray boxer unified the lightweight division by beating both Rose Volante and Delfine Persoon before she made the move up a weight class earlier this month, when she added the WBO junior welterweight title to her ever-growing collection of belts.
She remains one of the most popular sportspeople in Irish sporting history and it’s not hard to see why, considering how well she represents her country both inside the ring and out.
