Aptly timed with World Book Day.

A woman of many talents, Bray native Laura Whitmore has just added ‘published author’ to an already very impressive list of accolades.

Revealing the exciting news that had penned her own book last summer, a lot of hard graft went into the process with the Love Island presenter adding: “it’s been hard work and a long time to get here.”

Titled ‘No One Can Change Your Life Except For You’, the book gets its name from a Wilson Phillips song which encourages us all to “stop waiting for a hero to come along, take back control and be the hero of your own life”.

Wise words.

Celebrating the milestone achievement with a little virtual get-together, Laura made sure to wish everyone a “happy World Book Day”, also thanking people for their support so far.

“Thanks to everyone who pre-ordered or sent me a message of support so far. Thanks to @thatpippawright @orionspring @alexfisher85 for the encouragement over the last year and making this day happen! My book is officially out.”

Adding that she is “so excited” for the moment she can walk into a bookshop and “actually see it on the shelf”, she encouraged fellow book worms to tag her any and all pics with her book.
