Laura Whitmore shares poem for International Women’s Day

Sarah Finnan

Laura Whitmore’s poem appeared on a service information board on the London Underground network.

Laura Whitmore is celebrating International Women’s Day by honouring the ladies of the world through poetry.

Appearing on an information board on the London Underground, the poem reads:

“She is strong, she is fierce,

She is smart, she is tough;

She is happy, she is sad,

She is polished, she is rough.

She is vulnerable, she is insecure,

She doesn’t always know what to do;

But, she learns, she grows,

She’s a force to be reckoned with.

She is YOU.”

The poem ends with a special message from Laura herself that reads:

“Happy Women’s Day to all my ladies in all your shapes and forms. Love Laura X”.

Laura Whitmore has had a busy year – making her debut as the host of the series for the first-ever winter Love Island, fans were unsure as to whether the Bray native would resign on to the show.

A number of UK outlets have reported that the Irish presenter is set to sign a £1 million deal to return as the host of Love Island and its chat show After Sun in the coming weeks.

The future of popular reality dating show was thrown into question after the tragic passing of Caroline Flack, with many calling for its cancellation. However, ITV bosses have confirmed that the programme will return for the summer series as usual – though they have yet to officially confirm whether Laura will return as the host.
