‘Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events’ First Netflix Trailer Has Just Dropped

Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events is coming to a screen near you very soon, fans will be delighted to discover.

After a failed attempt at making a movie franchise, starring Jim Carrey, out of the hugely popular series of books, the story has now found a home on Netflix.

The show will follow the fortunes (or rather, misfortunes) of the Baudelaire orphans – Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – whose evil guardian Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance.

The trailer doesn’t give a whole lot away, mostly giving a sense of just how terrible things will get for the young Baudelaires, but Count Olaf’s voice can be heard interrupting our narrator at one point…

Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events will hit Netflix on January 13.
