LISTEN: The world’s first Christmas song for dogs has been released

Rory Cashin

This really needs to be heard to be believed.

If you already love and/or have dogs, then you already know some of the trigger words that will get their tails wagging.

“Walkies!”, “Treats!”, etc.

Well, after years and years of Christmas songs that were suitable for human ears – except maybe some of the high notes by Mariah, that is still up for debate – a team of producers and scientists have come together to create a new Christmas song that is suitable for doggos.

The folks behind the track – “Raise The Woof” – at Tails UK, had this to say about it:

“Dogs are the best, and we needed them more than ever this year. This is the first ever Christmas song made just for dogs – we made it for our dogs, your dogs, everyone’s dogs. Raise the Woof!

“With help from our Head Vet Sean McCormack, dog behaviourist Carolyn Menteith, twenty-five tails.com people and dogs, and the amazing musical talents of composers Soviet Science and producer Scuta Salamanca, we mixed this track at the famous Abbey Road studios. We hope Raise the Woof! gives you smiles and wags.”

The reggae-tinged track is filled with higher frequencies, squeaky toys, and some of our dogs favourite words to hear, so make sure to try it out on your dog this Christmas time (or today, why wait??) to see if it brings them some seasons cheer!
