Living Abroad? Here’s How You Can Watch ‘The Late Late Toy Show’ Live

Alana Laverty

The first ever Late Late Toy Show was aired in November of 1975, so it’s safe to say the majority of us grew up watching it every Christmas.

Sure, what better way to get in the festive spirit in the lead-up to Christmas? And to help you choose your Christmas presents?

But for some it hasn’t always been possible to watch the show, what with the RTÉ Player being restricted in some countries.

But we have some good news!

If you’re living abroad and feeling blue then it’s time to stop your moaning – because you can now watch The Late Late Toy Show from abroad, for free!

Serious excitement is building for what could be the biggest TV event of the year in Ireland, with over 1.5 million viewers expected to tune in this year and RTÉ have revealed today that The Late Late Toy Show will available to watch worldwide, live on the RTÉ Player!

“One of the great things about The Late Late Toy Show is that it’s the one night when we can collectively forget all the doom and gloom in what has been a very weird year. The fact that it is available to watch free across the world means that Irish emigrants get a chance to connect with their home in a way that is absolutely unique to us as a people. Nobody else would understand what this bonkers show is about!”
