Metallica streamed their entire Slane 2019 gig overnight and it’s now available to watch

Metallica have launched a weekly concert series on their YouTube channel and last night they kicked things off with their epic 2019 show at Slane Castle.

At about 9pm last night Irish time, the band announced that they would be starting a series called Metallica Mondays. All well and good but given that it was due to start at 8pm on the US East Coast, it wasn’t much use to Irish fans who were going to be tucked up in bed at that time.

However, the entire two-and-a-half-hour set is now available to watch on YouTube so if you were at Slane last year and want to relive it all you can do so right now via this link. If you weren’t one of the 75,000 people who made the trip to the Co. Meath venue last summer, well, you can now enjoy it now for the first time.

In this age of social distancing, it’s a great throwback to a time when thousands of people could rub shoulders with each other, united in a shared love of music, sport or whatever else. Let’s hope it won’t be too long before we can all experience this again.

Take some time out of your day and enjoy Metallica’s 2019 Slane show in all its glory below…
