Christmas in Cork

A brilliant song, a touching video to get you in the Christmas spirit and all for a fantastic cause.

What’s not to love about Christmas in Cork by the Russian Roulette Band?

After choosing to donate all proceeds from Christmas in Cork to Down Syndrome Cork, the group decided to record a music video to promote the song.

That music video shoot took place just last week in Cork city and it has already been edited into a poignant, merry package that is sure to put you in the festive mood.

Guitarist Ivan Holden told Lovin.ie: “Paul O’Dea, the singer in the band, wrote the song during the year for an album that was being produced by Tribarac studios in Macroom.

“We decided to release it for charity and figured we would need a video to promote it. I contacted Fabian Boros who shot the video for us.

“Paul’s daughter has Down’s Syndrome and we decided that that should be our chosen charity. She features at the end playing in the band. We are delighted with how it turned out and it captures the wonderful Christmas atmosphere in the city.”

The video, which follows Megan and David as they explore the illuminated Cork city at Christmastime, is well worth a watch and a share.

The CD can be purchased in Down Syndrome Cork’s charity shop in Merchant’s Quay and is also available on YouTube, Spotify and iTunes.
