Ed Sheeran Has Gone Full Irish With The Support Act For His Upcoming Tour

James Fenton

If it’s not broken don’t fix it. That seems to be the mantra Ed Sheeran is going with as he prepares for his nine-date Irish tour this summer.

It’s been confirmed that Shape Of You star will be joined by Irish trad band Beoga when he takes to the stage at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork (May 4, 5 and 6), Boucher Playing Fields in Belfast (May 9), Pearse Stadium in Galway (May 12 and 13) and the Phoenix Park in Dublin (May 16, 18 and 19).

Ed has collaborated with the five-piece group before on the songs Galway Girl and Nancy Mulligan and they also appeared on stage with him during his Glastonbury set last summer.

Jamie Lawson and Anne Marie will also warm up the crowds before Sheeran appears to his adoring fans in what should be one of the most talked about tours of the year.
