WATCH: These Irish Lads Trad Version Of ‘Maniac 2000’ Is An Absolute Banger

Sarah

Cast your mind back to the glory, tutu skirts and neon-fuelled days of the 2000’s, and we guarantee the one song that you’ll instantly recall is ‘Maniac 2000’, the screeching tuuuune of every club worth its weight in panstick.

Now though, the classic banger has had a bit of a makeover…

The Ruaile Buaile boys from Offaly take their influence from their Celtic rock and trad roots, and Niall, Jack, Arthur, and Shane have decided to put their own unique stamp on one of the most well-known songs ever to top the Irish charts, ‘Maniac 2000’!

And they’ve done it in style.

Like teenage disco goes all grown up and is actually pure class style. See?

It’s an odd choice of song for a young trad band, but class is class.

And this is a pop masterclass from a young band with the world in their sights.
