Netflix open casting call

If you’ve always dreamed of getting your 15 minutes of fame, now’s the time.

Netflix has issued an open casting call for extras in the upcoming TV Series Vikings: Valhalla.

The popular streaming service is looking to find extras in both Dublin and Wicklow for “huge crowd and battle scenes”.

Based on the hit TV show Vikings, the new spin-off style show will be very different from the original show. Set 100 years after the end of Vikings, the series will follow the lives of all new characters.

What exactly is Netflix looking for?

The casting call is open to adults from all ethnic backgrounds and nationalities, with the only stipulation being that they have PPS numbers and are 18 years or older – under 18-year-olds will be accommodated for at a separate casting in the coming weeks.

Appearance-wise, there is no definitive list of appearances, physiques, or hairstyles as staff “wish to see all types of adults”.

According to the online job listing:

“Men & women from all ethnic backgrounds, bone-thin, medium or broadly built, sporty types, tall, short, long & short hair, bald men & women, naturally coloured hair or be prepared to dye it, no beards and full-length beards down to your knees, grunge looks, undercuts, punk styles, amputees, crooked or missing teeth”.

Varied to say the least.

Organisers will be casting for both featured and special extra roles on the day so make sure to bring your A-game.

No appointment is necessary to attend the casting call, simply turn up on the day – the whole process will only take about 20 minutes. Filming is set to begin in April 2020.

Casting takes place in Wicklow on Thursday, March 12th between 10am and 6pm, while the Dublin casting will take place on Monday, 16th March from 10am to 6pm.
