Netflix release trailers for their two huge Christmas Day arrivals

Rory Cashin

In case you’re wondering what you’ll be binging on (aside from all the lovely food) for Christmas Day.

Christmas Day, and there are three priorities on everyone’s lists:

  1. What are we eating?
  2. Have we opened all of the presents?
  3. What are we watching?

So once you’ve filled up on food and presents, time to slump into the couch and prepare you body and mind for hours in inactivity, and allow the full day of TV binging to wash over you.

While there will be plenty of options on the big day itself, Netflix have released the trailers for their two big Christmas Day arrivals, and in true Christmas Day fashion, there will be stuff for the family, and then stuff just for the grown-ups.

First up there is We Can Be Heroes, the new adventure movie from Robert Rodriguez (Alita Battle Angel, Spy Kids). Starring Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian), Christian Slater (Mr. Robot), Boyd Holbrook (Logan), and Priyanka Chopra (Baywatch), it tells the story of a group of superheroes who are kidnapped by a new alien threat, so their young kids have to work together to save the day.

Check out the trailer right here.

And secondly, once the kids have gone to bed, you’ve got all the episodes from the first season of Bridgerton.

From creator Chris Van Dusen (Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy) and producer Shonda Rhimes (How To Get Away With Murder, Private Practise), the series follows Daphne Bridgerton, the eldest daughter of the powerful Bridgerton family as she makes her debut onto Regency London’s competitive marriage market.

There is a strong Irish connection to this one too, as it stars Derry Girls’ Nicola Coughlan in an important supporting role.

The brand new trailer is right here, and both Bridgerton and We Can Be Heroes will be available in your Netflix library when you wake up on Christmas morning:
