We’ve grown fairly fond of Matt Damon this year. He played quite a large part in keeping the nation entertained during lockdown… if there’s one thing we’ll remember of that time it’s Matt Damon and his plastic SuperValu bag.
A big hit with Dubliners in particular, locals were fiercely protective of the actor – rushing to his aide when a reporter from the big bad New York Times tried to get the scoop on his stay in Dalkey.
Reportedly set to make his grand return to Ireland later this month, the star is due back to finish filming on the period film The Last Duel and producers have just issued an open casting call for Irish extras to feature in the upcoming movie.
Due to be filmed in Dublin, Meath and Tipperary, as well as Ardmore Studios in Wicklow, movie bosses are reportedly looking to cast for a wide range of different roles with job openings for men, women, babies, families and siblings.
Based on a book of the same name, the movie is set in Medieval France and focuses on the story of betrayal and justice. According to a brief description of what producers are on the lookout for, it sounds like just about anything goes with the list of requirements including the following:
- Appearances; men & women. Bone thin, medium or broadly built, sporty types, tall, short, long or short hair, bald men/women, naturally coloured hair (or prepared to dye it), long and short beards, no beards, amputees, crooked or missing teeth
With that in mind, if any of the above applies to you, you should probably think about getting in touch. Who wouldn’t want to be in a movie with Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Jodie Comer and Ben Affleck?!
