Ozark has been confirmed for a fourth and final extended season

James Fenton

Netflix has confirmed that Ozark will return for a fourth and final season which will be split up across two parts.

After debuting in 2017, Ozark has built up a strong following on the streaming service, with this year’s third season achieving critical acclaim. The crime show stars Jason Bateman and Laura Linney as a married couple who relocate their family to the Ozarks region of the United States after a money laundering scheme goes wrong.

Netflix confirmed today that the fourth season will be the final one but, in better news for Ozark fans, it will contain 14 episodes as opposed to the usual 10. The final season will be split across two parts, with seven episodes in each.

Ozark took home two awards at the 2019 Emmys, with Julia Garner picking up the prize for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and Bateman winning for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series.
