Move over, Marty Morrisey, because the crown for Ireland’s biggest heartthrob has well and truly been passed to Paul Mescal of Normal People.
Paul Mescal has been melting hearts by playing Connell in the TV adaptation of Sally Rooney’s novel Normal People but acting definitely isn’t his only talent. The Kildare man is known to be a pretty handy Gaelic footballer and it seems that singing and playing the piano are two other strings to his bow that people may not have known about.
The 24-year has shared a video to Instagram in which he tackles Sia’s 2014 hit Chandelier and you’d have to say he does a decent job. Not only is he multi-talented but he’s modest as well, captioning the post ‘My sister @nellmescalis better than me!’ Nell is a singer/songwriter herself and if she’s better than her bro than she must be very good indeed. Some talented people came out of that house, that’s for sure. Fans were absolutely loving Paul’s video with comments ranging from ‘I’m pregnant’, ‘giving us girls a heart attack over here’ and ‘wasn’t aware porn was allowed on Instagram but here we are.’ Quite.
You can catch Paul Mescal in Normal People every Tuesday night on RTE 2.
