First, it was rumoured that he’s dating American singer Phoebe Bridgers… now we hear he’s joined an exclusive celebrity dating app. Hard to keep up.
Paul Mescal is arguably one of the world’s most eligible bachelors at the moment with everyone and their mother proclaiming that they’re “a little bit in love with him” after his performance as Connell Waldron on Normal People.
Though he’s reiterated several times that he and Connell are not one and the same, separating the artist from the art is no easy feat – especially for superfans of the popular book turned TV series who want to believe that he is the character he plays. Understandably this has had a knock-on effect on Mescal’s dating life, which is presumably why he’s turned to the apps… well, that and social distancing/Covid.
Chances are you won’t come across him while swiping on Bumble though, as word on the street is that he’s gone straight to the top and joined exclusive celebrity dating app Raya – choosing that one as it’s more ‘discreet‘.
Set up and launched by Jesse Johnson, Hollywood actress Dakota Johnson’s brother, the app is invite-only and each user has to be approved before being allowed in. Called Raya, the app accepts less than 10 per cent of applicants and is well-known amongst celebrity clientele.
This comes after the Kildare man was spotted down in Cork with American musician Phoebe Bridgers, who many suspect are somewhat of an item. Ah, the world of celebrity romance – forever keeping us on our toes.
