Paul Mescal has been nominated for a Lead Actor Emmy alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Kildare actor Paul Mescal will come up against Hugh Jackman, Jeremy Irons, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Pope in the Lead Actor Limited/Movie category at the 2020 Emmys.

The nomination is a testament to the popularity of Normal People, the show which has kickstarted Mescal’s meteoric rise in the acting world. The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on September 20 and will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.

Paul definitely faces some stiff competition from actors with plenty more experience than he has but he’ll know that the whole of Ireland will be right behind him when the ceremony takes place.
