Adam King has a lot of new fans after his appearance on the Late Late Toy Show last night – including a Canadian astronaut who wants to ‘talk space’ with him.
People have a lot of love for Cork youngster Adam King who captured hearts on last night’s Late Late Toy Show. Tugging on many a heartstring, Adam moved the public when he told Ryan of his brittle bones and why he’s in a wheelchair.
Obsessed with all things space, Adam filled viewers in on his love of rockets and the stars, also telling Ryan about his favourite worker in Temple Street Hospital – John the porter, who even made a surprise appearance on the show.
Giving John a big wave, Adam’s excitement at seeing his old friend was palpable. Moving the entire country with his virtual hug sign, people are determined to help the budding space explorer make his dreams a reality with several kindhearted individuals stepping forward to do what they can.
Clearly glued to the action themselves, the Embassy of Ireland team over in Washington DC were amongst those to have taken to social media in support of Adam. Encouraging him to keep looking at the stars, they promised to get in touch with their friends at NASA on his behalf.
“Per aspera ad Astra, Adam. Keep looking to the stars young man. In the meantime, we’ll reach out to our friends @NASA & see if they can’t help bring your dreams a little closer.”
